Scammers are using the Merrell Capital name.
Merrell Capital has been made aware of reports that individuals unaffiliated with our firm are contacting the public by telephone and text message, using our company name to offer loans and "guaranteed approvals." These communications do not come from Merrell Capital and we have no connection to the people sending them.
Recipients have told us they received unsolicited calls and text messages from people identifying themselves as Merrell Capital, or as representatives of Merrell Capital, offering loans, grants or instant approvals. Several people contacted us to ask whether these callers work with us. They do not. Merrell Capital is a funding readiness and brokering firm, we are not a lender and we do not solicit borrowers with unsolicited calls or texts.
Impersonation of this kind is unfortunately common: a scammer borrows the name of a real firm so that a quick search makes the approach look credible. Nothing about these calls originates with us. If you have been contacted, the guidance below will help you confirm what is genuine and what is not.
What Merrell Capital does and what we never do.
Funding readiness consulting
- We assess and prepare businesses. We score your entity, credit, financials and documentation and help you close the gaps that cause declines.
- We build business credit profiles and lender-grade documentation packages so owners can apply once, prepared.
- We work by agreement, with scope and fees stated in writing before any engagement begins.
- We correspond in writing from addresses ending in @merrellventures.com.
We are a broker, not a lender
- We do not originate, service or fund loans. We broker business funding for clients who have engaged us, and we never make credit decisions.
- We do not make unsolicited calls or send text messages offering loans, grants, approvals or pre-qualification.
- We never guarantee approvals or a specific funding amount. Nobody legitimately can.
- We never ask for a fee to release funds, no "insurance," "processing" or "activation" payment.
- We never request gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency or payment-app transfers.
- We never ask for banking credentials, full Social Security numbers or card numbers by phone, text or email.
The shortcut: if someone contacted you out of the blue in our name and the conversation involves a loan offer, a guaranteed approval, or any request for money or account details before you receive money, it is not Merrell Capital.

If you already paid, act quickly.
Contact your bank, card issuer or the wire service immediately to ask about a recall or chargeback, file a report with your local police department and consider placing a fraud alert with the credit bureaus.
Common questions about these calls.
Is Merrell Capital legitimate?
Yes. Merrell Capital is a business funding readiness consulting firm. Our only website is merrell.capital. The people using our name in unsolicited loan calls and texts have no affiliation with us.
Does Merrell Capital lend money?
No. We are a broker, not a lender. We prepare business owners and then present their file to funding partners, but we never originate, service or fund the money ourselves. Anyone offering you a loan in our name is not associated with Merrell Capital.
I received a call or text from "Merrell Capital". Was it real?
If it was unsolicited and it offered you a loan or a guaranteed approval, it was not from us. If you are unsure about any message that claims to come from us, contact us directly using the details above rather than replying to it.
They knew my name and business details. Doesn't that prove it was real?
No. Business and personal details are widely available from data brokers, public filings and past breaches and scammers routinely open with them to build trust.
Can Merrell Capital get my money back?
We are not able to recover funds sent to a third party and we are not responsible for the actions of people misusing our name. What we can do is report the numbers and addresses involved.
I am a genuine client. Does this change anything?
No. Client engagements are unaffected. Every genuine agreement from Merrell Capital is made in writing and we are reachable at the email address listed above.
This notice is published for the protection of the public. Merrell Capital has no affiliation with and accepts no responsibility for, any third party misusing our name and this page does not identify or accuse any particular individual or entity.
